So I had a coolant leak on the passenger side down near the starter and i thought I have a cracked engine block. The car had been running around town and the temp gage was normal when I head the hiss, raised the hood and saw a piss stream of coolant coming away from the block on the back side of the starter

So I was thinking the engine block may have cracked.

So this am I lifted the hood, popped the radiator cap and the rad was full ?

Started it up and got it up to temp and pressure and no leak can be found

Is there a relief on the water jacket or maybe a popped heater hose or something

I cannot figure this out

Any ideas

There's a few coolant hoses in that area. Iacv coolant lines, throttle body coolant lines, freeze plugs, heater hoses. Do a coolant system pressure test and you should be able to find it.

You have to have the tool. I think autozone will rent it for free. Pump up your cooling system to like 15psi, then look for your leak.
