I know this won't be very popular on this forum, but I have decided to convert my Q45a to a standard suspension system. I am taking it to T3 in Atlanta on Friday to do the conversion. My question is; Is the old active suspension system worth selling? I know that the rear had a small leak. I haven't seen people posting their active suspension on this forum. Should I try to post in the "Parts for sale"? Please let me know. Thanks

Be sure to get a QUOTE price* for a full removal [the lines are not worth it] and a replacement pump + pullies and belts] to decide.

As I remember it takes another 3-4 Hours [ABOVE THE SIMPLE CONVERSION PRICE] plus parts to gut the system of everything.

The flat and or leaking [accumulators] {SHOCKS} which are all that are normally removed in a low cost converstion are of dubious value..........just bring a box with towels [drips] and tell Byron to put them in your trunk instead of the trash.

Like all used parts 10% of brand new [$3800 for option] might be good but it would cost more than that to remove everything and substitute the pump.

*Discuss the added cost with TY.

How much is the conversion going to cost you?

Have you spoken to Keith (member: texasoil) to get a quote on restoring your ACTIVE? It's definitely worth a phone call at the very least, before making a final decision.

He can be reached at:http://www.q45asuspension.com/

Basic* spring/shock swap plus looping active pump cost roughly the same as Keith 9 parts recharge plus .......[add swap labor]............not sure of how to cost freight plus the credit card deposit.

*4 new blue shocks on used takeoff std springs and used seats.

However a leaking accumulator must be replaced [no point in recharging].

We are always happy sell just labor to swap Keith's recharged parts but won't deal with shipping back drippy used components.
