Took the Q to the dealer for diagnosis was told that number 8 was completely dead with others out of range. Ordered 1 from deats replaced.. still ran bad. Learned enough from the good people on this site to ohm my others. Found that 4 was totally dead too. Since it was under the plenum, I decided to remove the plenum and replaced 4. Finally got it put back together and 1, 3, 5, and 6??? are now dead. I even checked 1 at the injector. Dead. Question( besides am I cursed?) can they come back to life if they are fired a couple of times or are they dead?. Appreciate any help.zeropost?cmd=newtopic&id=24#

Welcome to NICO. Sounds like you've been reading some posts. Answers to your questions:

> Yes, you are cursed. Only because you've got to go under the plenum again and you know from experience how much fun that was. I won't preach to you about chain guides and all the under plenum hoses to replace as well as knock sensors.

My last parts car had 4 dead injectors and 4 out of ohm range and the engine still started right up and ran (a little rough). As they warm up the ohms resistance may change on your dead ones to the point where you may get a reading on your voltmeter but they are never going to work properly.

Bite the bullet and order 4 more and while you've got the plenum off put the 3 you haven't changed into slots 1,2, and 8 so you don't have to remove the plenum a third time if (when) they go bad. You're going to need new plugs too.

There's lots of other maintenance to do to get her running top-top. Let us know what you know about your Q (mileage, service history, how it's running, a pic). NICO and its members are a great resource. Good luck.
