Hey, guys....I'm sure I'm not the first person with this issue, but I've search around on the forum and didn't see any immediate posts that would help. I've got a '91 G20 and noticed something odd that I haven't seen before. Where were the rear strut towers to unbolt the strut/spring assembly.....NOT IN THE TRUNK?!! I found them after peeking through a small opening in the rear seat! Here's my Question.....Do I just RIP out the seat back, OR does it have bolts/snaps/hinges, etc.? I got my exhaust put on this week (by th way...PROPS to AZhitman for the sweet exhaust, it sounds great!) and went to take off the struts to put on the suspension upgrades, but then ran into this problem with the seat. HELP!! I know someone has dealt with this. Thanks in advance!

Easy one:

On the rear seat, there are 2 bolsters (one on each end) - fold down the seat and you can see them.

Reach under the bottom cushion and pull on the plastic tab, then lift and pull forward on the rear seat bottom cushion.

Then, at the bottom of those side boldters, there's a 10mm bolt. Remove that, then lift HARD on the side bolsters, they'll slide up and off.

Then you can release the clips holding the rear package shelf and reach in there and undo the bolts.

AWESOME....I love this forum!!

Greg, is that you?

Anyway...I've already got the bottom cushion removed, it came out easy. So now, you're saying that there are 2 bolts....are they on either end of the seat back cushion on the bottom, or where?

(thanks again on the exhaust! It is awesome!)

Yup, 'tis me...

The 2 bolts are at the bottom of the seatback bolsters, one on each side. They go thru a little metal loop, which is part of the frame of the side seatback bolsters.

Great! Thanks for the help. It's too dark here in TN to be foolin' with it now, but tomorrow A.M. I'll be up checking it out. Thanks, again.

Got any advice on a rough idle??? I read the Sticky at the top of the forum about "general maintenance tips" and I've changed several parts in hopes of eliminating this (EGR Valve, PAIR Valve, PCV, Fuel Filter, Spark Plugs/wires) but it hasn't even altered the idle a single bit. When I changed the spark plugs the 3rd and 4th cylinder's plugs were wet with gas?! It doesn't misfire or anything. If it's a cold morning it will crank right up, but it won't stay running. I'll have to hold in the gas pedal for about 2-3 seconds and then it will stay running, but will idle rough. Thoughts.....

My next guess would be to check the MAF, maybe reground it. It's running rich wahatever it is though, the plugs should not be wet.
