I browsed through to page 41 seeking info related to my issues and didn't see anything related to my issue and decided to make a new topic.

My drivers side window will come down half way at normal speed before I need to pull it down gently to lower my window and same going back up. The motor continues to run when it rolls up or down which at that point, I hit the switch several times to get the motor to shut off. I put a multimeter on it and everything seems to be running fine. I asked other Z friends on FB what they suggested and I pulled the glass and rail out of the door. Thinking maybe the window was hanging up on the rail some how, but to no avail, this was fine as well. I cleaned the window rail along with other parts and re-greased everything that had moving parts thinking maybe the old grease viscosity had broken down for a 25 yr old car.

My next step is to purchase everything new. But before I do this, I thought maybe you all may have any suggestions that I or my friends may haved missed.

Shot in the dark, have you checked the regulator for damage, sounds like the hangup may be in the sprocket or regulator arms.

Yes, I checked both. The regulator arms are good and I also checked the sprocket. Originally I thought it could be the sprocket, being the way the glass was hanging up. I thought for sure that a spline might be worn down and it was causing the hang up. Then again with a little less than 85,000 original miles on my Z, you wouldn't think a steel sprocket would be worn. But who knows... It's really aggravating trying to resolve the issue.

I usually do not work on my Z. Brett Ramey and Tim Davis usually tackle anything mechanical. Being they both are getting ready or are heading to ZDAYZ, I thought I would try my hand in fixing this small issue, which has turned out to be a nightmare.
