90 D21, Wipers, Handles, and Dashboard Lights.

Hey all

Had a couple of ice related issues a few weeks ago. My door handle snapped off when I went to open my truck and my wiper blades stopped working.

Replacing the door handle was a tricky. This rod http://www.courtesyparts.com/80608-rod- ... 122459.htm had fallen off inside of the door. Everything was fine until today. I am pretty sure that this piece has fallen off again. I was wondering if there was a specific amount I need to unscrew at, or if it is a matter of trial and error to get the proper tension?

Also, I discovered that my one of the wiper assembly's had pop'd off from the passenger side. There is a silver ball type thing that is is suppose to attach to. Anyway, it came off that. I reattached it, but my wipers now clank like something is hitting metal. Also, the wiper blades themselves dont rest at the bottom of the windshield anymore.

Is there a step that I am missing?

Finally, I am having an issue with my dashboard lights. The center part (where the speedometer and RPM gague) is illumated, but the far sides dont light up at all. Is there a bulb I can replace or a fuse I need to track down.

The plastic retainers on the door handle rod are probably worn and need replaced.
Sounds like your wiper linkage is worn also. I dont think they sell just the pivot caps so you will probably need new linkage.
The dash light sounds like a burned out bulb. Good time to replaced them all.
