89 240sx running rich

I have an 89 240sx with 150,000 miles. Im trying to pass smog, but my car is running to rich, I just replaced the o2 sensor, spark plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor, and fuel filter. The maf sensor was also just cleaned. I ran injector cleaner through the car and it improved it alot, but still not enough to pass. The mechanic said that it is the injectors, they are gunked up and not giving a good spray so its not burning all of the gas. Does this sound right to you? How can i go about making the car pass smog?

Clogged injectors can do that; yes. You may need to replace them or have them cleaned and balance tested. RC Engineering is one place to have them cleaned and tested but it is a rather steep price for a daily driver. Try running Sea Foam or an equivalent through the fuel.

thanks for the reply, I have run three bottles of injector cleaner through. I will try the stuff you mentioned next.
