87 Pulsar NX N13

Alright, I owned this car for about 2 years now it still runs reliably and is still in great condition no rust. I posted an engine swap thread before and I realized how impossible it is to find any engine for it so I gave up on dreading on that. I want to know if there are any other Pulsar NX owners on these forums, I dont know if there is any other thread out there that is similar to this one.

I own the XE model with an e16i engine and I hear its possible to supercharge it or turbo it, I pretty much want to know if its true, if its now what can it be done to atleast start from 70hp to 110-120 hp? I am sick and tired of being laughed at for this car is really slow and does nothing to back it up, I dont know what to do honestly buying another car probably wont do it so i want to make the Pulsar the best of it while its reedeming itself by taking me to places without breaking down. If it needs a fixing it becomes an easy one. For starters I am after rims because hub caps isnt cutting it for me, now I want to know what I should do after that or what to plan out if there are better alternatives or to go back to considering engine swap.

I am aware that the SR20de conversion is by far the most difficult yet easier to get what is needed for that they are common in the US but the CA16de(t) or CA18de(t) are easier but very rare to find in FWD and mostly found in UK or Australia which is something I honestly dont want to go through the hassle paying for shipment and such.

What are your suggestions?

I think if you love your car and it treats you right then you should keep it. I've had many cars along the way that other people didn't like as much as I did, but then again who are they to speak? The Pulsar is getting to be a rare car and I think it would be fun to work on. Not a whole lot of guys have them around here. I think elwesso said that the guy who did his 5spd swap on his Q45 had a few of them and was fond of a lot of the older funky Nissans. Send him a message and see if gain any insight.

I would like it more if girls stop laughing at me just because its not a year 08-11 model car or because its a small car w.e its stupid. Its difficult enough that i try to keep this old thing rust free and believe it needs to be respected like it is in Australia and UK, first off the name needs to be changed second why did most of them had to have the E engine not the CA? Emissions? please. I appreciate your word because I had bad comments about my old 300zx but it had power to make that up unfortunately its not around anymore because taking care of it was a bigger hassle than the Pulsar from how the previous owner had it. Anyways I will contact him if I find him, I am grateful my pulsar is in its condition because it was my uncles and he passed it on to me and if making it better is possible great!
