85 720 float goes LOW

85 4wd feedback carb, float goes WAY LOW underload.

Help, Things i have done: new fuel pump and filt/new needle valve and strainer/new hoses/blew out all lines incl to fuel tank/put 100 main jet in retn line/pressure and volumn test are good/retn and feed lines correct

all sensors / o2 are disconnected for off road.....but problem was there when i bought it and everything was hooked up

any ideas?

Sounds like you've checked everything I'd have suggested, and then some. My guess is something else internal with the carb, but what? If possible, I'd suggest just doing a carb upgrade!

float better now,,,,, i ran 14 gauge wires direct to battery pos/neg
also added 20 amp hd fuse inline as well as 20 toggle

may get weber some day as not happy with factory carb

update ....about a week ago i put pressure reg on return line and now the pressure is up about 1/4 lb to carb (almost 3lbs) seems more consistant now............the new fuel pump i put on a month ago is Airtex..........
