Im swapping a 90 ka24de into my 4x4 720. Mounts line up, everything sits good, oil pan hits on the steering arm. But barely, i removed the stabilizer so it just rubs at tjis point. My plan is to lower and drift this truck and later turbo this ka. Can i just bend the oil pan on the corner where its hitting and create the 1/8-1/4 inch clearance needed? Note i wont be using or needing the steering stabilizer shock because with the smaller tires its not gonna be that bad, also note this is a track truck, and the 4x4 parts have all been removed.

Shouldn't be a problem - You could even cut the pan and weld a flat piece where the corner was.

Alternatively, take a rubber mallet to it (while it's bolted to the block) and dent it for clearance (but I'd go with the cut & weld solution).

Ok i figured that'd work. I read on here about changing feed lines and sump loction and a crapload of work i was hoping i wouldnt need to do, it doesnt seem like it rubs much at all without the stabilizer shock attatched.
