I've got a Datsun 720 ND NO TAIL LIGHTS, checked the bulbs put new in and no blinker on the right front and right rear, but they stay on when I turn lever to the right. The left signals works fine. Any heads up where might be the problem. Been looking foir a wiring diagram, if anyone has please send it asap!!
Thanks

I would check the Grounds on the left side..sounds like a bad ground to me....And under the passenger seat is a plug that connects everything in the rear of the truck to the front make sure its connected good...i had no tail lights at all for a while until i found that plug wasnt connected all they way.....and if you make a free autozone account they have good wiring diagrams if you have the account!!hope this helps a little...

Here's what I suggest, but then again I'm no genius. :gapteeth:
Check for a blown fuse.
Check the bulbs.
Check the ground for that circuit.
Anyway, I will assume you checked the fuse box first. If you keep blowing the same fuse over and over again, then you need to get serious and check for the problem before you do some serious electrical damage.
To be of any more help, we will need to know the year and model of your truck, etc.

Now my story:
My rear lights were out the other night. Brake light worked fine. Cops stopped me! :nono:
I had started the car at dusk and my dash gauge lights went out. I didn't realize the tail lights were out too.

My fuse keeps popping and I traced it to my alternator. It still charges the battery at 14V but it must have a short somewhere inside cause when I disconnect the alternator from the circuit, the fuse does not pop anymore. :gotme

Check your hazard switch as well. On my 81 the signals would stop flashing after using the hazards. I would have to flip the switch a few times to get them to work again.

Hi and thanks for your ideas, I have a 1982 720 King Cab, and my hazard light doesn't work either. When engauged nothing happens and no turn signals either, but the right blinker works when I switch the hazard switch out of circuit.

Hi, I had same problem, turns out the contacts in the head light switch were sticking, I used a good spray of WD-40 to flush it out and it seams to be ok since then.
