I got a budget of about $70 to spend on each tire. I need new tires because my current continental touring tires are worn and weren't good to begin with. I'm looking to get all season tires because I need them to be good on dry and wet. Snow isn't extremely importance, but if I'm out and it starts snowing that feature could come in. But like I said, it's not on top of the list of importance. Another thing that's important to me is tire wear. I want a tire to last a decent amount of time. So.. I have several all season tires picked out, and could spend around $70 a piece, probably up to $80. I would like a tire that does good in carving through twistys, and the occasional stop light flooring.

My front tires are bald and I'm thinking if I realy want to save money I could just replace the two bald tires, but the new ones in the back and decent ones in the front for safety. The tires I currently have are continental touring which are ok. Here they are: link

Oh yea, and I always heard that with tires you get what you pay for. But after looking through tirerack and some of those reviews, it looks like certain tires are bargains, while others are just the name. It makes sence, all these tire companies spend tons of money to advertise during races.

If you have another tire that's not listed in my pricerange, please list it. And if you drift, please don't list the tire. I'm intrested in traction, although drifting is fun I can't afford to damage my bodywork. What should I do with my money?

I am happy with my khumo exsta supra 712's. I think they were about 90 bucks in 235/40/17. So they would probably be in your price range if your still running the stock rims. They grip well and get great traction when it rains also

I just bought new yoko's about a month ago and they're great. yoko avs es100's are what they are called. i got them for 300 shipped from tirerack. they work awsome in wet and dry conditions. the only thing that sucks is that they don't work in the snow, when i say they don't work, i mean at all, but other than that they are awsome, and theyre quiet too. but the price may go up or down depending on the size you need.

Yoko AVS ES100's are what I have also, nice budget tire. They have decent wet traction, great dry grip. In cold weather they are like driving on snow, really easy to lose traction (read cold as 45 degrees or below). Yea, and ANY snow will make them completely useless.

I got Yokohama AVS dBs...love them. Don't seem to have the cold weather problem that the ES100s have...constant sub-freezing temperatures and I haven't had a problem.

if you live anywhere in the west, Les Schwab Tire Center is the place to go. Schwab's main performance tire brand is Toyo, so they either stock or can order any size or model of that brand. What most people don't know is that Les Schwab can also buy from tire rack/discount tire, goodyear, nitto, bfgoodrich, etc.... they can buy any brand, from any company anywhere in the world. of course they will almost always suggest you buy what they have in stock, but if you find the knowledgable employees who understand the need for performance tires, he can hook you up with whatever you need. Another little known fact is that Les Schwab has in house credit, meaning if you are buddies with an employee, or have at least some credit history, you can buy any tire you want and pay low monthly payments... As of late, Les Schwab has also started selling performance aftermarket products. Just about anything you can imagine... and you can charge it all to your account.

Damn those tires dbs2 are 100 dollars a peice. The es100 seem like an excellent tire, but the lack of snow traction worries me because I MIGHT need them once or twice if snow starts before I get home. And what's this about them being poor in cold weather? Winter is almost over, but I think these tires will last longer than the summer and I'll probably need them for next winter, right?

ok well i searched for all season tires, and put the cheapest first. one thing i dont understand is this. on this page ContinentalContiTouring Contact CH95 is listed 7 times, and the prices are all different. Why is that? Aren't the tires all the same? The only difference I noticed was the cheapest tire said "toyota" while the most expensive says "mercedes". Could I get the "toyota" tires for my car? I'm thinking either those continental for $53, or replace just two of my tires. The yokos would be nice, but I realy don't want to spend much money.
