Uhhhh, Mcheddadi is a dude. A hairy, French Canadian dude.

...and yes, a heavier knob will make shifts feel smoother.

those girls posing in front of the cars are not really drivers??? Darn!

I was wondering why it felt kinda of stiff while shifting i thought it was because it was a newer car

WC Lathe Werks has that finish and many more finish like that available, you can show him the pic of the knob and he'll try his best to make yours the same. he already has dimentions for the altima so he won't need anything more

I used the 10mm adapter.

to unscrew it's just rotate counter-clockwise and you're done

it does take LOTS of force so you can always use something like a locking pliers . you just have to put someting on the knob to not crush it with the pliers. I used and old sock lool. the ring won't popout and there is no screw to remove to get the knob off.

it's real easy, don't worry. please give us ride impressing afterwards!!! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.nicoclub.com/forums/image ... iggrin.gif" BORDER="0">
would you know the thread pitch? I have a Mark Martin #6 Nascar knob I`d like to try... so I would need to get the adapter ahead of time... thanks...

OK, I found out on my own, the thread pith is: 10 X 1.25mm

I have my shifter knob mounted up, made my own bushing by drilling and tapping an SAE insert to Metric, doing the same with a jam nut and wala, knob is on and looks good IMHO...

if someone is willing to host a pic for me I will send it to their e-mail,,, Thanks...Blackmetal!...

Is there any difference between the shift knob on the Altima Coupe and the shift knob on the 07+ Sentra SE-R Spec V? They appear to be externally identical...

Usually like this

http://www.shortshifter.com/techniques2.htmI have my thumb on top of the knob instead of off to the side though and for 3-4 my hand is palm down, figers curled pulling the knob straight back.

Had the WC lathwerks shift knob for a while. I love it, may be more expensive but definately worth it. super heavy and makes shifting effortless.

Hey do you guys know if this one will work on a 2.5s coupe. Manual transmission. Its a type s aluminium it says its universal but i just wanted to double check, they have it at autozone. The only difference in the one im getting is its red lights instead of blue so it fits with my car.

I know this thread is old,,,but still very relevant to new owners as a sticky.

First off, a few of the links are outdated

Second, the TWM shift knob for reverse lock out is here:

http://www.twmshiftknobs.com/shiftknobs ... elock.html

the M1 Abrams is 460g. From what I could find, its the heaviest of the bunch.

Any idea which car you select? There is no current altima option.
