I'm pulling my hair out trying to determine if Rock Auto sent me the correct brake shoes and if I'm assembling everything correctly. The pictures below show what I'm dealing with. The yellow bottom spring is not the problem (there are holes to secure the spring in each shoe), nor are the short hold down springs. However, there does not appear to be any holes to secure the top orange spring. There are some triangular cut outs at the very edge of the shoes but they don't secure the spring without it popping out. If I have to, I guess I can drill a couple holes, but something seems strange. I'm also unsure how the emergency pull-off spring is secured. I have a Haynes manual but it does not provide the detail I need. I've also searched on line for a good photo but not had any luck. I'd appreciate any guidance here from those of you who have been down this road before. A photo would be hugely helpful. Thanks!
