a week ago my grandpa gave me his 1980 720, turns out it's got some issues I didn't know about and I'm thinking about selling it and purchasing a good condition 1972 620 I found on craigslist for $350.

the 620 has no engine or transmission but I like the 620's a lot better and figure if I am going to have a project it might as well be one I like. What kind of cost am I looking trying to find, buy and swap in an engine and transmission.

I thought about pulling the working L20b engine and the 5 speed transmission out of the 720 and dropping it in but I'm not sure if it will fit. Any opinions or knowledge here would help, thanks.

The L20b and 5spd will fit just fine. Bolts right in.
