92 5 speed into 93 A/T DE. Car runs fine (much more fun driving a 5 speed). One problem to solve, when stopping, car will idle 1500-2000 for approx 3-5 seconds then drop to 8-900. Have searched and found references to tricking A/t ECU to not idle high, but no definite solutions. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the replies. Are there any other solutions besides a new ECU?

are you having problems with your clutch sticking to the floor? to be more exact your clutch pedal? mine is bc it still has the factory bleeder hoses from an auto and now keeps leeaking and i was wondering how did you bypass that if you did...and pics? its the hoses under the passenger side seat

Had a problem with clutch pedal staying down at first, could not "bleed" the system to pressurize. Started with salvage master (MC), slave (SC), clutch line, damper system (set of tubes under passenger side that metal clutch line from MC feeds into) and brake/clutch hose that runs from damper system to slave cylinder. The factory fitting at end of metal clutch line from MC was stripped and would not hold pressure. I removed the damper system (which may have stripped the fitting) and ran the flexible factory brake/clutch hose directly from the metal clutch line to the SC. I had to take the metal clutch line to a local brake shop and have the tubing cut and reflared with a new fitting for the flexible line to attach to. After that, it bleed and pressurized fine.

I think the original problem I had with bleeding was the damper system. Could not see any leaks but it just would not pressurize (pedal stayed at floor board) no matter how much I bleed it. When I tried to remove the damper system (which I read about in the forum) the fittings were really tight and I think that is what stripped the one fitting. I ordered a new clutch line from a local dealer but it was going to take a few days, so thats when I took the line to a local brake shop and they reflared the piping with a new fitting I bought from O'rieilly/Checker.

Only cost me $1.69 for the fittings and the brake shop did the reflaring at not charge to me at all. Would have taken 4-5 days to get any other clutch lines, this took about an hour of my time.
