A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I just bought an '02 P11 (Inf G20/NIS Primera) with (i beleive to be) a SR20DE and 5 speed manual. drives great, its peppy, and is getting great mileage. however, i want to lower my RPMs while cruising at current speed limits (>65), as i do more long distance driving than city or racing. what is the feasability and/or difficulty in swapping in a 6MT (say B15/16 SE-R for example) for the stock 5MT?

It's not an easy swap. In fact, I've only heard of one being finished, and I'm not even sure that it runs properly, so it's not really feasible.

Actually those g20 transmissions have the best gearing for touring out of any of the 5sp SR20 vehicles. For the headache and amount of money it would cost, it wouldn't be worth it.
