Wow, I didn't think this thread would turn out this way. I just added my .02 cents because believe it or not, I think LEO's take more verbal harrassment than any other profession out there. I just wanted to let you guys know how it feels to be on the "other side" of the law. And I just wanted to give everyone a few tips on how to better your chances of NOT getting a ticket.

stsxcrle, 82 in a 65 will definitely get you a ticket anywhere in the country, except for maybe LA
Re-read how I came across in my post. I know I'm asking for a ticket going 80, and I should say that I used-to-go 80, I keep the cruise set at 70 on my way home now. I just thought it was a little coincidental that with the same driving style in the A/C I was pulled over within two weeks of having it. Not suggesting a conspiracy, just that when driving a car that looks sporty, you're more LIKELY to be pulled over.

That said, I completely agree I should have received a ticket and understand and respect that a LEO has to constantly be on guard and take a lot of abuse. I'm always respectful to them and they in turn are almost always respectful back.

Only after having a number of those experiences does one have a justification in feeling a certain way about cops in general! It isn't right to make that generalization, but from their experience, they do it unconciously! If I interact with 10 cops in a row, and all 10 are racist a**holes, of course I'm gonna assume that the 11th cop I meet is a racist a**hole. Likewise, if all of your dealings with cops are positive, then you will assume that the 11th cop will be cool also, and could not understand why I would hate cops!

yeah i don't think the niceness card works!!! i am always nice and courteous and i still always get a ticket. stupid mp's!!!! i always see everyone onbase speeding, talking on cell phones, or doing some other sh*t they aren't supposed to do. but who do they stop.......me, the one who one day happens to go 3 miles over limit accidentally. then when i tell them that i was super sick and on cough syrup with codiene the mp told me he could also cite me for driving under the influence or some sh*t. i told him well how the heck am i supposed to get around when my husband is deployed!!!!!! he was like oh ok well just get home safe. (i was like 4 houses away from mine) but he still gave me the stupid ticket!!

My boss used to be a LEO, he said that all a woman had to do to guarantee a ticket was cry. But if you could make him laugh he'd give you a warning. Anyone seen the movie Super Troopers?? One of my favorite movies all-time. Meow, do you know how fast you were going?
