New member here! I just picked up this 2005 350Z Roadster Touring last Tuesday night. It's all stock so it'll keep me busy for a while.

Nice effect but you missed some spots in your selection. It's kinda killing it.

I'll back home from Iraq in April with some extra Gs that I wanna dump into my Z. I would love some suggestions if you are willing to lend some. I'm stuck inbetween a turbo or a supercharger right now.

you need to upload your photos to an image hosting site, i recommend photobucket. with photobucket they give you the code that you need to put into the post to make your image show up. its as simple as cut and paste.

Hey so between supercharging and turbo charging it really depends on what your goal is and what you will be doing with your car,

Turbo charging takes the fumes from your exhaust and uses them to spool up a turbo which forces more air into your engine which gives your car more horsepower, turbo chargers have much more potential for HP gain because the pressure they produce can be raised alot, the problem with this is that if you put a stock engine under to much pressure you will deffinatly blow it, the stock Z engine is said to be good to about 400 HP some say 450 but i wouldnt really chance it becuase if your a little bit over or close to its limmet it has a good changce of blowing. you can fix this tho by putting in forged inturnals and if needed sleeves which strengthen the engine and make it so it can handle the added pressure. Also in terms of money turbo charges are gonna cost you more usually around 8 thousand depending on the set up you get. For the Z most of the kits are twin turbos but there are a few single turbo systems out there that are pretty cool.

Supercharging uses belts that hook inot your engine that use the engines existing power to force more air into the engine and give you a greater gain, altho they take power away from the engine they help produce so much more that it easily makes up for what it takes out to power the supercharger, this still puts pressure on the engine but usually not as much as a turbo does, also like a turbo it can be tunned to deliver more or less pressure to the engine, if you stick with the factory settings on a supercharger you will be just fine. It does in a way kill your gas milage more than a turbo will but for the extra power most people dont really mind that, also they are a bit less expensive than a turbo system most are around 5-6 thousand dollars. If you look into a supercharger system i would look inot the Vortech system it will put you at a little over 400 hp while still keeping you safe.

So i guess the thing is that if you want to just add a little over 100 hp and not tune it up in the future you should look into a supercharger, also for the money it is a great way to gain alot of power, if you want a lot of power with the potential to have even more through tunning and strengthening of your engin in the future go with a turbo charger (probably a twin turbo) but be ready to spend a lot more for the turbo and also the work on your engine to strengthen the internals that can become very expensive but after you do it you will be pretty un beatable on the road.

Theres alot i have left out here because there is so much info and so many oppinions on this toppic so if you have any questions ask me and ill tell you what i know but otherwise you may want to look around on this sight at other forums on the toppic, this is where i learned all i know and there is alot of info out there on both turbos and superchargers.

Hope this helped tho good luck.

Nice, but why didn't you opt for the Billets in the DB7 Front? The 2 billet grills is what gives it the true DB7 look. I want to run that bumper badly. How much did it cost you?
