So ive come to the conclusion that I need to do quite a bit of work to my Z. To name a few, Timing belt, drive belts, Knock Sensor , as well as new injectors. Since ill be doing all this work my self to save me a lot of money, I had just a few questions about doing the Old style injector to New style injector conversion. When replacing the injector connectors do you need to sadder the new connectors to the harness or can you just pull the electrical prongs out of the connectors like you could when doing a coil pack connector replace. I'm new to this forum, and quite new to tearing apart this engine; but I take pride in learning how to work on this engine. I don't know how to sadder which is why I hope I don't have to sadder. But if I have to better start watching some youtube vids asap. As my car is driving on 4-5 cylinders O.o any help would be highly appreciated, thanks in advanced!!

Oh forgot to put in there its a 1993 300zx Twin Turbo auto to manual conversion

Sadder (soldering) is easy, just be sure to have a quality iron and flux. Practice with spare wires, watch a few you tube vids. Be sure to clean the soldered joints and place heat shrink over wires BEFORE joining them.

Or you can use these, but for $79, Id learn to solder(and these do not eliminate the corrosion found on the early style square connectors).

Hey thanks for the reply! And sorry about that grammer (soldering) lol. I'll definitely try the to solder the wires together, rather do it right cause those connectors are probably shot XD. Also what are your thoughts on upgrading to a 300 degree fuel rail? Will i have to shave more off of the plenum over injector 1 once i put the new style injectors in? And is that fuel rail only compatible with the 550 cc nismo injectors? Cause i would t mind upgrading to those those injectors but i dont think my Z needs it at the moment cause its pretty much stock. Sorry for all the questions, im a huge z enthusiastic and this is my 3rd 300zx but my first TT and first time ever really doing the work my self

300 deg rails are a nice upgrade, but the question is, do you really need them? What are your goals for the Z?
Going for big power with large turbos, inj. etc.? Then yes get them. They fit any newer style pintless injectors. Remember, you will need to run ss fuel lines too with AN fittings. 300 deg rails are pretty much direct fitment no grinding of upper plenum at all.
IMHO, moderately powered (say 500whp and under ) you won't need them. I just got the adapter kit with my early fuel rails with 740 nismos.

Agreed, go with the adapter kit- I did, and they have an additional benefit of being designed to stop another small issue at the injector tip. :dblthumb:
