Hi everyone, I have a 1990 Nissan 300zx N/A 2+2 and was wondering what tire size i should get for my 18" rims. They came with P235/50R18 tires. They seem to fit alright in the rear but wont fit in front correctly.(rubbs on the steering knuckle) I would like to go for a mean look of big tires in the rear (no bigger then they are currently) and smaller ones in the front (so they dont rub) but I want to make sure that they arnt too heavy either so that the car doesnt become slower. Any tips?

Also would the bigger tires in back add more control/weight to the rear to make better traction?

Once again thankyou for your time, my apologies for being a noob

Go down to a 40 or a 35 profile. 50 is one of the stock 16in sizes. Wider is always better more contact on the road, makes for better grip, but mainly depends on what you want from the car

I ended up having to put a small spacer with longer studs I got from Z1 on my fronts and it's great now.

FWIW DO NOT go to the auto parts store and get a similar spacer and try to use the stock studs, there will not be nearly enough stud "meat" left to secure the wheels. I may or may not have entertained this idea long enough to demonstrate to myself what a bad bad BAD idea that was (luckily the car didn't leave my driveway)
