It wasn't worth posting a new thread for, so I'll ask here:

1: Will the brake conversion from a 1986 300zx do the same as the brakes from a Z32?2: Will the headlight conversion work from a 1986 300zx as well?

I need to know quite fast, so let me know please! Also, if you can, please tell me what parts I need to strip from the car to make it work. :) Thanks guys!

private party. lives in atlanta. i got them a little cheaper than normal, about 50 bucks because of the long delay. normal price is about 400+ shipping for all the stuff needed for the swap. if you want the guys AIM name that i got them from i can give it to you.

i dunno anything about the Z31. i don't see why not, as long as the bolt pattern is the same.

Hmm, damn, thanks for the info!Anyone know about the headlights though?

*EDIT* Ok, I found out the headlights won't work, but now I'm thinking of stripping the turbo off of the Z31. Is this worth the effort to do? I'm not sure I'll get a whole lot of power gains.

and yes I know I had the 26mm rotors. I converted mine to the 30mm. The 26mm works best on the 240sx expecially with clearance issues. 26mm will work on the 7 spoke se rims from 91-94. 30 mm will not fit without modification. I got my 300mm calipers from the zone for that price guys. If you don't believe me then fine but call the store or go down there and check it out. If not then my store here does them for that price and I would be glad to help anyone out. If you guys don't believe me then it is your loss. I can tell you were to get anything Z related cheaper than any links on any of these 240sx sites. Hell just go to ww.twinturbo.net and ebay and save yourself alot of money. Believe me saving money is the name of the game when you have a z.

So you had the 26mm and you traded those in to autozone or sold them seperately? When you went to autozone, you went in and traded your stock 240sx calipers and got rebuilt Z32 30mm calipers for $80?

junkyard will be cheapest... mine sells remanufactured ones for dirt cheap... problem is sometimes they dont have a set.. so you just get 2 of the same side then go and exchange one at autozone for a core and get the right side... thats what i did and it cost me less than 150 bucks out the door. :ylsuper

No it was $100 for both. I actually traded in some calipers of my wrecked 240. And yeah if you want the 30mm tell them you want the any year after 90(91-96). Type in 300zx on ebay for rotors or goto the classified section on http://www.twinturbo.net for some companies that sell z rotors. You can get them cad plated cross and slotted with pads and lines for the front and rear for like $465. look for cpark in the class section. or there are tons of people selling there used z stuff on there cheap. [email protected] have anything and everything you would want from a Z. They are a z salvage yard. there are tons of links on there just look. You can get cross and slotted rotors for z's on ebay for $100 for the front set. Pads are all over tt.net from $30 to high performance $100 pads depending on your taste. brembo makes a replacement z rotor set for like $70 or less. Summit has them or again go to http://www.twinturbo.net. Tons of links there just check it out.

So, I guess there is no one here that lives around my area that can help me?? It will be great for me to learn, and do a hands on swap by myself instead of paying all that money for a shop to do it. And I will drive to your house, 1) because I dont have any tools 2) THE GIRL NEXT DOOR IS A B**** and she wont allow me to work on a car on the driveway, and 3) I will be spending money on the gas, you wont have to. Tell me if there is anyone interested in helping me out. Thanks.
