hi everyone
been away a bit, anyway just installed a used JDM engine in my 300 and kept the JDM harness but the engine would not fire . i did a little electrical on it but everything i worked on that i can tell like harness to relay box is working and the yellow secondary plug off the ecu harness , however i did notice that wire colors & location with in the big blue ecu connector are different from my old NA harness and the JDM harness i got.

it seems logical to me that the NA ecu wont run the new engine with all the wires being different and in different locations , my question is is there in fact a circuit difference from a JDM ecu to an NA ecu and do i need the JDM ecu to run this engine or vise versa swap the harness out for the NA harness

urgent & any help would be great

thanks guys

No difference in the wiring pinout, the TT will have more wires for the factory boost control and depending on the year of the donor car some extra emissions stuff might be in there. Lots of people run NA harnesses on built TTs because you don't have to eliminate the extra plugs.

Have you run an ECU diag to see why it isn't firing? 300zx-z32-ecu-diagnostic-t249406.html
