Alright so my battery light is on. what causes this? i know my battery is good and my alternators is good. i drove for 1.75 hrs without losing voltage with stereo system on and everything.

Antilock light is on it will go off for maybe 3 seconds every 45 minutes or so but its basically alwasy on.

As soon and both of theses things happened my car will not idle when its warm. on a cold start it idles but once its warm it does not.

all of these problems started yesterday. what could of triggered them? could they be related?

Load test the battery because its either that or the alternator. But there have been some really strange cases where its something else but we will see.

load test meaning what?

turn somehting on to draw current and read voltage?

does driving it for an hour and 45 mins with stereo system on not suffice as a load test? it had a load on it for that amount of time with no noticeable issues. generally if my battery is low my dash lights will dim when my subs hit and they never dimmed at all last night

load test means take it to a shop and have them hook their machine to it and load test it

if the batt light is on then generally it's the alt, check the belt first and make sure it's not slipping

and untill you figure out the problem I highly recomend you disconnect the amp! it could be the source fo the problem

the abs light could be a wheel speed sensor, you need to have the abs computer read

the bad idle when cold is likely the iacv, check the connections, take it apart anc clean it and readjust it

yeah thats real suspicious. im having trouble at idle and under load while acel (vacuum?) and im also gettin some dash lights once in a while. with my case though its the lights light (next to 55-60mph mark) my e-brake light and i think the abs light also. they blink on and off sometimes. this never happened before.

yes i did delete my egr and thus am having vacuum issues. But now that you mention it, i do have a new alt belt and due to an aftermarket underdrive crank pulley, the alt belt seems a bit loose. doesnt seem like it would be too loose to work though. i do get the occasional belt chirp but only in cold mornings while warming up and when downshifting. hmmmm, but the dash lights never come on in my case unless im going over bumps. its seems like it might be a bad connection maybe in my case.

idle is solved i adjsuted the iacv... i think the battery light is jsut a connection on the alternator cause with continuted driving and starting it changes sometimes my lights will be dimmer and sometimes they will be normal i think its jsut a connection on teh alt thats bad

where can i get my abs computer read? costs?

the iacv is on the driver rear of the plenum if you are standing at the driver fender looking at it there is a small flat head adjustment screw on the side of it its hard to find at first but once you do you know exactly where it is...there may be wire or tube in front of it but youll see it
