is there a donor vehicle that can supply the parts to convert my '86 720 pickup to accept five lug wheels?

An early Toyota 2wd rear axle could be used. If you don't mind a winder stance, or if you use rims with more backspacing, you can get wheel spacers that convert 6 lug to 5 for the front, or all the way around.

Google 5 lug adapter.

79-85 toyota axles are 55.5" wide, not sure about 720s yet though.
