Max is right, stat on EL-178 to get an understanding of the Sunroof Retained Power Operation. For description of Smart Entrance Control Unit, go to EL-310 and for location, go to EL341-342. There could be an obstruction in your sunroof drive mechanism or the sunroof motor-controller (encoder and limit switches) itself is failing.
You don't want to disable the Smart Entrance Control Unit as it controls other components as well as the Nissan Anti Theft System. The Sunroof retained power operation is disabled whenever any of the front door is open so leave one of the door open during diagnostic. With Ignition ON or engine running, open the sunroof and check the track for obstruction. If none, it's likely the motor-controller has gone bad. You can disable the sunroof (once closed) by disconnecting the sunroof motor connector. You can also disable the Retained Power Operation by cutting the wire from Pin 5 of the Smart Entrance Control Unit (not recommended).
