240sx Wont Start...sometimes

Hey guys, just bought a 92 hatch with manual transmission and I drove it home, turned it off, and now it wont start. Whats up with that? The motor turns over but just wont fire up. Any ideas? Thanks

Battery/ battery connection

Battery connections are tight. The car runs fine when it DOES start. but it has its fits where all it wants to do is sit there and crank over but not actually start up. any other ideas?

Well the car started this morning. Then i turned it off and now it wont come back on. Same symptoms, wants to start but just wont.....i had disconnected the battery overnight and it started up no problem this morning. so could it be an ecu related problem or what? Thanks

Was it always a manual? Maybe something as simple as the clutch safety switch thing?

Yes, the car has always been a 5 speed...this really has me stumped.

Nope. No turbo yet.

You know, when I put the engine in my car it wouldn't start, which turned out to be due to a loose ground on the alternator. A couple days later it happend again and I fixed it again, It's been good ever since. So while it may not be that one, just check all your grounds.

Okay so i still havent fixed this but I have a question. If the timing was off, would my car run fine and just have problems starting?
