240SX's get buried in new Street Touring rules

All over the world, Nissan products are involved in road racing, track days, time attack and autocross.

240SX's get moved from ST to STS. They are now perhaps the least competitive thing in there.

All a product of the whining that ST classes do. Goes to show, you whine too much and you get "fixed"

If you're upset about it and you're a SCCA member, please write to the SEB.

Really, the new ST rules are trying to create a more level playing field, and making it more consistent...from Stock to ST to SP to Mod...of course, I don't agree with how they're going about it, but they won't change it unless they have other voices.

If you read this, take the 30 seconds it takes to make your voice heard at:

Member feedback is what drives these changes. If you're really lazy, you can just copy the following, or paraphrase it:
In response to the February 2011 Fastrack bulletin regarding Street Touring changes, I agree that rules should be made consistent through the class. However, this consistency should also apply to how cars are grouped. While the EF (1988 - 1991) Honda Civic is similar to its STS counterpart, many of the cars listed as moving to STS appear to be much heavier, and thus should not be grouped with STS cars. Specifically, the 240sx, Impreza 2.5RS, and 1994 - 2001 Integra would be better fit to ST on narrow tires, or STX on wider tires. Please consider grouping these cars with others of similar weight so that they can remain competitive, as many people are still running them.
