Hey guys, I don't venture over to this side of the forums that often, but I've got a question.
I have a friend who needs a new car. She doesn't have much money to spend, and has asked me to start looking at cars for her. Well, I know I'm probably biased, but I've been looking mainly at Nissans, specifically Sentras and 240sx's.
I don't know too much about these cars - at least with respect to stock reliability. I have searched, but pretty much every thread that deals with the reliability of the 240sx deals with performance.
She would NOT be modding this car. This car would need to be a fairly low-maintenance, affordable car, that would essentially run forever. Does the 240sx meet that criteria? Are there typical problem areas that arise (aside from the timing chain)? Also, if the car does satisfy the conditions, are certain years better than others, as well as is there a certain mileage threshold she should avoid?
Thanks!
P.S. She would definitely be getting one with an auto transmission...any issues there?
