Ok... 2 1/2 cents.... Here was what I used to make my decision:Advantages of Running car:More than likely, maintanance has been kept up. This is good if you are not going to be able to do all modifications at once. (IE: Suspension, Tires, Brakes, etc...) Also you will have a running car while you wait on the engine to be shipped.
DISadvantages of running car:PRICE PRICE $$$ PRICE PRICE
Advantages of NON-Running car:PRICE $$$ (Ex: I have a 89 NON-running coupe for sale $600) Good if you have all the money that you need to buy all the parts you need right away (IE: Wheels, tires, brakes, etc...) That way you can save on some cash.
DISadvantages of NON-running car:Maintanance (apparently) has not been maintained. Might need new tires, etc..
It all depends on HOW MUCH CASH YOU GOT....If your gonna do it all at once, Buy a NON-running car. If your gonna do it over time, pay 3 times as much and buy a running car.
ABOUT the HICAS disableing system: Yes they make them, But they're sorta hard to find. they run somewhere b/w $130-$200. Good luck finding a HICAS car, though....
Hope this helps... Good luck ;-)
