Just bought a 1990 240sx and for some reason the windows wont function. When you push the button to either open or close the window on the driver side you can hear the motor functioning but the window wont move. On the passenger side, when pushing the button nothing happens at all....no window motor noise or movement. This is the first 240 that ive owned that had full power locks and windows so im assuming its a bit more difficult than just takin off the panels. any help would be appreciated! :wtf2: 5

The driver's side may have popped off the track, whereas the passenger side motor may have completely burned out. Just some first thoughts. Panel removal should be your first step.

Thanks I appreciate it! I'm definetley going to remove them this weekend and see what I can find. How hard is it to get the window back on the track if that ends up being the case?

Haven't messed with an S13, but my driver's side had popped off the track due to a slight accident under previous ownership. I just bent the arm back and reseated the guide wheel inside the track. Might take a few tries but it's generally easy. Good luck and I hope it's something simple!

the driver side window motor im assuming is shot. there was a steel wire just dangleling behind the window and it appeared to be cut. really dont know if its part of the motor or not. the passenger side is just burnt out so thats simple i guess

hi,
I think you should get it checked to the technician of a certified vendor.
