Car: 1990 240sx with jdm k24 twin cam swap

Post

ok i searched this topic but couldnt find anything that im dealing with. i have a 1990 240 sx with a jdm k24 swap and it came with the powersteering on the driverside of the engine and the alternator on the passenger side of the engine. i noticed that the powersteering lines go to the passenger side of the engine, i tired looking around the alternator to see if the two (powersteering pump and alt.) are capable of being swaped (alt. to the driverside and p/s to the passenger side) i know that i would have to extend the wires to reach which isnt a problem. all in all i just need to know if there is a way to swap the two around to get powersteering to work? a conversion kit or something.

wtf is a jdm k24, hahaha.

Sounds like you did a dual cam swap & you don't have the reservoir/lines for it.

You should really search for dohc swap or something similar, it's been covered on this forum (covers the power steering issue you are having).

But here, basically:

1) run custom hoses to your current power steering reservoir - you will still need the hardlines or custom one for the pump -> rack if you don't have it already. You can search for this as well, as I've JUST answered this question a few days ago (and there are also plenty of references about it on here, google, etc).

2) get dohc power steering lines & reservoir - return lines, reservoir, hardline, hi pressure hose, etc.
