240 engine question

im lookin for a low mileage or rebuilt 240sx motor for cheap the k24de motor.....(twin cam motor).....and i was also wondering if they made a sr20 non turbo motor for the 240, i know they make it for fwd cars but i was wonderig bout rwd...i hate turbo's due to bad past experiences with honda's.....any help would be great...........

yeah they have non turbo SR20DE in the Q models. Id get teh turbo motor, it was designed for it unlike Honda motors which arent. SR20DET are bullet proof until around 400-450 hp.

consider the sr20det. It has seriously built internals and odds are you will love it. Not many horror stories floating around.

If you want to stay N/A then the KA works pretty well.

what kind of problems exactly did you have with your turbo'ed honda?

it was actually the jackson racing supercharger, and no matter what i did, how high of octane fuel i ran, the car always ran lean .......it also keep throwing check engine lights and only allowing me to rev to 4500 rpm, it was just a headache and the motor was blown twice..........where can i find a cheap k's with low miles??????

You can never compare a super charged Honda to an SR20DET.
