2018 rogue dipstick

i just bought a 2018 rogue and found out that theres a dipstick for the transmission i thought these suv do not have dipsticks has anyone else come across this with there car thx

There are lots of aftermarket dipsticks out there for CVT's. That's a good sign, it indicates the previous owner may have given a crap about his transmission.

that is what i was thinking as well and hopefully it doesnt have any issues the fluid on the dip stick looked like it was new but still makes me want to change the fluids so i know it has been done

You can also (optionally) use the leveling plug when you change it to make sure the dipstick reads correctly. Aftermarket is what it is, so aftermarket sticks don't always read right. I always recommend people do a calibration on the stick if it isn't certain the level is already correct.
