My 2017 Rogue Hybrid has developed CVT issues. When the transmission gets warmed up, the transmission will stutter when slowing down. It occurs around 35 mph and again at 20 mph. I NOW understand this is a known problem; they even increased the warranty to 120k miles. Well, I'm at 127k miles. Repair is evidently not available, and because it has to interact with the hybrid system, the replacement cost is near to or north of $10,000. Does anyone know of a better way to handle this? I have had no problems with this car. Aside from 3 recalls, it has NEVER been to a dealership for warranty work. Thanks for any suggestions. I'm not sure a $13k-$15k used car is worth the cost to fix it.

The hybrid trannies are special and as far as I know can't be rebuilt with a new belt and pulley set like a regular '10D. Nissan doesn't even sell Valve Bodies for them, the VB's are considered part of the assembly. So unless you're lucky enough to find a good used transmission, you're probably SOL.

Thank you. That's pretty much what I was thinking too.
