2017 Quest with 113k miles. Anyone done the serpentine belts on a Quest? Mine still has the original belts and I'm hearing a very brief cold start squeal for like 1 second at first start. Runs fine otherwise.

Could it be the tensioner or idler pulley? Are the Murano and Pathfinder with the V6 the same? Thank you gang...

It could be the tensioner, but that's pretty easy to check. Have an assistant start the car and watch the tensioner while it squeals. If it's going bouncy-bouncy or changes position much after the squealing stops, replace it. There's no big trick to changing the belt. Like most Nissans, take it loose and install the new one at the A/C Compressor pulley. Trying to get it off and on at the crank pulley is a fool's errand.

Thanks VStar. Are there 2 belts or just one?

Should be just one on a '17. The steering is EPS, so the only things on the belt should be the alternator and A/C.
