The car has about 45,000 miles and has been regularly serviced. It is the 1.6L 5 speed manual. I was driving near my house when car suddenly started idling irregularly at a stop sign and then stalled out. Drove car home and retrieved 2 fault codes P0017 and P0014 permanent. I have tested the variable exhaust valve solenoid and camshaft position sensor and they are good. I also checked around and all other wires and connections seem good. I have no idea what the problem is. I am in the process of trying to get an appointment to get it serviced, but I would appreciate any input if someone has the knowledge or a similar experience. I will update with what shop says in a week or two.

Info from shop is that it is the exhaust valve timing control solenoid valve.
