2016 Rogue Liftgate opens 1 time

I have a 2016 Rogue and the liftgate opens and closes then opens again and after nothing.
I had water at some point and replaced the actuator and 1 of the sensor connector, worked for a few years now its acting up again.
Replaced the actuator, liftgate control module, release switch and same issue.
Thinking of replacing the entire liftgate, I am thinking it might be corroded connector that I am missing.
Any thoughts?
When the liftgate stops responding I have to disconnect the battery to reset and then reconnect, liftgate works again opens and closes 1 time, opens and then nothing.
Does not matter if I use the key fob, dash switch or liftgate release switch all the same results. Very frustrating.

The ABD controller is active on the CANbus, and evidently it's throwing a code on closure. Usually that indicates a problem in one of the three latch switches (Open, Closed, Half Latch), but you really need to get the codes read to know what's going on.

Thanks for the input, I will look at the 3 switches. Might go to the dealer and see what codes they can pick up before trying a new Actuator.

That would be wise. The ABD will tell you where it hurts, but common scanners can't talk to it. Get a code sheet from the dealer, post the codes and I'll give you an opinion. I'll tell you in advance if the codes are B2409 (half latch), B2419 or B2420 (open/close switches), the culprit is the lock assembly. If it's B2422 or B242A (closure state) without any of those other codes, check for debris in the mechanism before condemning the lock.
