2015 power liftgate

Our power liftgate is acting up. It will open, then sag 12” or so. But this is intermittent, as this morning the first opening it worked, but all subsequent openings sagged. I have tried the reset with the hatch close button. Is this a strut issue or a controller issue? I think the latter, since it does work sometimes, and if I lift it back to fully open, it will stay up. Thoughts?

We very rarely see failures of the ABD Controllers in Rogues. Only R52 Pathfinders, and that's because they can take water from a roof leak. Rogues don't typically have that issue. Usually that behavior is from worn out struts or a bad encoder in one of the struts.

Thanks for the response. Looks like I’ll be replacing struts in the future.
