First off I owned a 2008 Rogue for 5 years then went to a 2013 Altima 3.5 SL and in 2014 bought the new Rogue. Love it so far except for one gripe. The heated seats are nowhere near as warm as my 2008 Rogue or 2013 Altima. On low there is almost nothing and on high it warms to what low was on my previous two Nissans. Called the dealer and spoke to a tech who said that Nissan changed something with the heated seats but to bring it in and have it checked out. So tomorrow afternoon it's back to my dealer and I hope they can correct this annoying problem. The heated seats on my prior Nissans would get as hot as a heating pad on high which was something I liked during the cold months. I'll report back after the visit to my dealer but I was just wondering if any forum members had the same complaint.

Sounds like a new one to me, but I'm curious to see what the dealer says.

It actually makes a little sense from one standpoint: My 95 Q45 heated seats would get uncomfortably hot on "high," and I assume some nitwit attorney decided maybe men were being rendered infertile by their seats, or someone claimed their butt got irritated.

Next thing you know, the seat heaters get dialed down. :)

my 2002 maxima had heated seats what could boil water. my 2008 rogue has heated seats that dont impress me.

i think azhitman is right, something to do with lawyers or engineers who think they know better.

Went to my dealer and had the seats checked out, also had a long talk with the tech doing the work. He did some checking online to see if there was anything on the heated seats and there was nothing. I was hoping there would be some sort of adjustment that the tech could make but he said he have to replace the whole heating unit and there would be no guarantee it would be warmer. Just for kicks I went out on to the dealers lot and sat in a 2015 Rogue SL for 20 minutes, and the seats in that brand new vehicle didn't get as warm as mine. So apparently Nissan changed the temperature setting in the redesigned Rogue. We measured the temp on high at 80 degrees whereas the older model Rogues seats would register in the 90s. The tech was going to call Nissan to see if they have a fix for the heated seats not getting very warm. I'm on a call back list should a fix happen, in the meantime I'm going to contact Nissan and complain. I have near 14K miles on my Rogue and so far this is the only problem to surface.

I find that Low is not that great but High gets pretty warm after 5 minutes. Coupled with the heating system, I usually leave the seat on high for 5 mins before switching it down to Low for the rest of the trip. Mind you this is with starts in about 35 degree weather.

No complaints with the heated seats here in STL. Mind you a really "cold" day would be 15F. They heat up very quickly on high.

I wish mine would heat up on high, here's hoping Nissan will fix it before the winter is over.

My dealer took the seats out today and replaced the heating element, took 3 hours to complete. While waiting I took a 2015 Murano Platinum for a spin and the seats had a low, medium and high setting, on high they got toasty very quick. Drove the Rogue home and had the heated seat switch set to high, unfortunately they don't get as warm as the original. I'm bummed out now and will be back to the dealer next week.

Did you get your issue fixed? I have the same complaint. They replaced the heating elements, but told me they were just on training and they need to change the breaker or something too, so I will have to wait for it to come in to know whether it actually improves things.

chilli88 It's not fixed and I have a feeling there is more to this problem. Keep us posted if you get yours fixed and what they did. Other than this problem the Rogue has been a wonderful vehicle.

What "told me they were just on training" ! ! Please do yourself a favour and change dealer ! Report that directly to Nissan. For the price you paid your Rogue, you don't need them "training" on your Rogue. You need it FIXED !

Sorry, I should have worded that better. My understanding (rudimentary as it may be) is that the mechanics go on regular training for updating as new models come out and as issues arise and solutions are identified. I meant they had just come back from this, not that they were brand new apprentices that just graduated from school yesterday...

Yesterday went back to my dealer and the tech that worked on my Rogue came out and sat in the passenger seat. On low there was nothing on the high setting it barely got warm. He's checking again to see what Nissan says about it. The service rep said they toned it down after complaints. I replied the why do the seats on the 2015 Murano I test drove have seats that warm quickly and are much hotter. Seems to me if some driver thought his/hers seats were to hot they would simply switch the setting to low or turn the seats off. We'll see if I hear back from them soon.

Yesterday i was browsing about this heated seat issue to see if i could find some extra information, i got used to the temperature and the new setting. what ignited my curiosity again is that my bother got a brand new 2015 altima 3.5SL and i tried the altima's heated seats and they also did felt warmer than the ones from the Rogue.

Now, during my research i could notice that the only car on the Nissan line-up that claims to have this Quick Comfort is the Rogue, which leaves out the simple comparison of seating in other car and making a claim, because the will come back with that argument.

On Nissan's defense i must admit that i prefer the Rogue's setting over my brother's Altima, since it keeps and comfortable temperature alternating the heat areas, while the altima's seats reach a point that you have to turn off the heater because it gets uncomfortable.

It looks like we are the guinea pig with these seats, and depending in our feedback the will expand it to the rest of the lineup.
