So I have a 2014 that we're leasing, and my wife is the main driver. We've had it since January and it has about 1500 miles on it. Saturday she goes to start it...nothing. Click click click, but some things are getting power such as interior lights, power locks. Radio and windows won't work. So it's getting some juice but not enough. I jump the car and it starts. I let it run for 15 minutes and turn it off. Later that night (12ish hours later) I go to start it again, and it's dead again. Ok so now it's definitely getting a trip to the dealership. I go to jump it on Monday to drive it down there and now the battery is completely dead, no lights or anything. Drop it off at night so they can work on it this morning, hoping that letting it sit overnight will be a good way to replicate the problem (assuming it will be dead when they go to start it). Of course it started right up for them this morning and the battery tested out fine.

Any ideas on this? I'm kind of stumped and I'm sure it will happen again.

The vehicle is not being driven long or far enough to keep the battery charged. At 1500 miles since January, you're driving less than 18 a day. If you can't take longer trips, you'll have to keep it on a trickle charge.

My wife has a 6 mile round trip commute in her new car and after 9 months the battery is just fine....so I'm unsure about the above theory.

I'll add parasitic drain, alternator and/or battery issues to the guess list.

For 8 years I drove my Camry 12 miles a day and nothing on weekends. I never had trouble with the battery or needed any kind of trickle charge. I think they have other problems.

OP, what was the problem, and the solution? You left us hanging :)
