I just had oil changed on my 2914 Rogue SL and the shop said there was a slight bit of uneven tire wear and suggested doing a wheel alignment. Has anyone else done this after such low mileage? It seems low to me for this.

The shop will try to upsell you on stuff. If they just did an oil change, they'd make like 5 bucks, but they'll make a hundred off of the alignment upsell. Have you noticed the uneven tire wear?

Are the roads very rough where you live?

No - haven't noticed anything. Roads are rougher here in the winter months but there aren't many potholes yet. I also wonder if I should be putting synthetic blend oil in it. The manual only specifies a viscosity recommended - I'm inclined to put conventional non-synthetic oil in it the next oil change.

If where you live has a true winter season (potholes, etc) then I do not know why you would get an alignment in the winter. Spring roads in that sort of climate will cause you to go further out of alignment, so you might as well wait until the roads are in better shape. Even my dealership tells me "You're due for an alignment, but might as well hold off until spring".

As for synthetic vs conventional, I personally use conventional. I do not think that switching to synthetic will provide any increase in the vehicle life unless you are living in a harsh climate or driving in extreme conditions. The important thing is changing the oil and filter.

Do you have a 2014 Rogue? I would use conventional oil but the manual specifically recommends 0W-20 oil which is synthetic or synthetic blend oil.

During my service this weekend i was told the my alignment need to be check since it was a little off to the right (front and back). 2014 Rogue 19,000 miles, to be honest i think that the machine needed some calibration when I'm driving the car goes straight and do not tend to move. I told the guy i will do it whit the next one that includes the tire rotation.

I also notice that or they changed the oil type to a synthetic blend or they reduce the service frequency. It used to be every 7,000 miles the new sticker says that i have to go again in 4,000 miles. Unfortunately, i have not been able to locate my previous oil change receipts.

Strange, I began experiencing pulling after my 10k tire rotation. Brought it in yesterday and needed an alignment (specifically, toe was out in front passenger wheel). I have not hit any potholes or curbs. They aligned it for free and pulling is now gone.
