2012 Quest Alternator Replacement

Has anyone here done one of these and do you have any tips or tricks? I'm following the service manual and gotten to the step to remove the alternator harness connector. Between the brittleness of the plastic and the lack of clearance, I don't know how I'm going to get it off without breaking it.

Hi, welcome to NICO!
I imagine that job would be similar to an alternator on a Murano or other VQ engine FWD vehicle.

I've had sticky harnesses on items before... sometimes spray lubricants can help free them up, or you could try waiting until the alternator itself is free and maybe you'll have a better chance at grabbing the harness at that point...

Yes, had to get the alternator free and then could pop it off no problem. What an absolute gigantic PITA, don't know why anyone would put the alternator there. Here is the best Youtube video I could find just in case anyone wants do this job.
