Diode Dynamics is advertising a new LED Bulb XML2 which is supposed to be a bright 1420 lumens. This is a H8 compatible bulb.

Anyone have any experience or comments on something like this?

The bulbs are available in yellow or 6000K white.

Those are nice, I was looking at them as well. I decided to drop these 6000k bad boys in my car instead, and they're BRIGHT! Almost the same output as the headlights. Double the calculated "measured" lumens of the DD XML2 for a little less $$$ too. :BnB:

How easy is this install? Do I need to pull off the front bumper to access the fog light housing?

No, you can get access to the fog lights by removing the wheels and wheel liners.

I upgraded mine to Subzero LED kit from Xtralights website and I think it looks better than most cheaper LED kits online.

I also got those from V-LEDs and will tell you one thing. you don't have to remove the bumper, i didn't even removed my wheels since Infiniti forgot to give me my locking wheel nut after buying the car and having my rims swapped.

ok, the Bulb is a lot bigger and you won't have any problem with the driver side at all. the pass side on the other had will be a bit of a challenge since you have the washer fluid reservoir on the way and the bulb is too big to even get it to slide it that you might end up breaking it by adding force and pressure. what i ended up doing was removing the chrome fog light cover and from the inside of the bumper the top screw that holds the plastic cover. it's a small screw and will give you some hard time to put back on due to the fact that the new LED Fogs are big in size but you can do it.

that's the way i did mine and i do have to say that they are bright!
