I think that I have the same thing. It seems to come and go. I have under 25K on the car.
It's funny that this post was created because it re-occurred this week end. I drove the car for hours that day; got stuck in traffic for hours as well.
I usually hear it when I pull up the my house late night/early morning. As I throw the car on reverse and start to steer to parallel park.
The dealer looked into it, but find it to be normal. I think that the hard part is for the dealer to re-create the noise, in order for them to do anything or admit that something is wrong. They told me something similar to what Debonair said: "I should add It is normal on many vehicles (IME) for some noise to be present when you turn the wheel back and forth with the car stopped/parked. It takes a lot more force to turn the tires when they are sitting still then it does when they are rolling due to the resistance against the surface of the ground. Not saying for sure your noise is normal, just that I would expect some noise."
I will have to report it again next time that I go in for service with my never ending list of issues.
