I have replaced my maf sensor 3 times and had codes cleared and computer reset. It keeps having the same issues every 2 months or so. It doesn’t stutter or nothing,the cel comes on and I get it scanned and it shows the mass flow air sensor...any suggestions?

Dealer suggests maybe a pcv valve...

Starting at page EC-166 and through page EC-176 it talks about error codes for the MAF sensor and how to diagnose and fix them. No where in there does it mention a PCV valve and that suggestion would worry me. I wonder if you spoke with a salesman, manager or an actual technician who should know some things.

Anyway, it's ten pages, see for yourself. Several things could be wrong, but MAF's should not wear out in a few months, they should last years (hopefully the life of the car really). So, something is wrong. What codes do you get?
