Does any know any videos of the starter replacement on this model?

Might be worth checking out @EdBwoy's channel on YouTube. He may have this job documented (his channel is great!).

no videos, but i did mine like two weeks ago. not too hard to do, but it is labor intensive and it took me around 3-4 hours to do. basically the entire intake has to come off and you will be able to access it

Did you have to drain the coolant or is there a way around it. And were the gaskets easy to find?

Thanks for the shout-out Ilya, but I haven't done it on mine yet. The M56 is parked up for the winter with intentions to address that starter and other projects.

Funny thing is that my starter issue had been intermittent yes, but as soon as I bought the OEM starter, never have I had any more click-no-start episodes.

OP, with regards to the coolant, if I had to open the system, I'd take it as a good opportunity to do some preventive and routine maintenance:
1. Replace the coolant
2. Flush the heater core
3. Perhaps install a metal fitting in place of the OEM plastic Tee used as a bleeder.

I assume you're referring to the intake gaskets. If so...
When I bought mine, I ordered part # A4035-1MC0A and the kit came with 8 gaskets. It costs in the neighborhood of $40.

The coolant is pretty much brand new I did that back in August when my radiator blew.I didn’t wanna go through draining and having to refill I was wondering was there a way around it, and Ive been looking through your page for the video lol. I seen you ordered a new one @EdBwoy. And can stores like Auto Zone order the gaskets? Because I know they can get next day delivery and thats kind of what I need at the moment

i didn't have to drain anything. i moved the throttles to the side without disconnecting any coolant hoses. its doable without needing to drain anything
