A few days ago I went to the restaurant and left parking lights on for fun because I have leds everywhere and they won't discharge the battery for such a short time. When I came back to the car (in about 45 min) the lights were off. So all I did just turned headlights off and back on and they were working again. Not sure how many people at this forum know about it but I didn't.
The delay for the headlights or parking lights is 5 minutes. It says it in the owner's manual and I know from experience. I think all recent Nissans have it because my sister's Sentra's headlights turned off in 5 minutes as well.

After you turn off the engine and electronics, the timer starts. Once 5 minutes have passed, the parking or headlights turn off. They turn on again once you turn the car back on (can just be electronics and not engine)

Update:

After reviewing the spec sheets, a few more changes for the 2010 models in the US has been discovered:

- The rearview mirror with auto dimming, HomeLink and compass that was part of the Leather Package has been replaced with a just an auto-dimming mirror. Homelink and the compass are no longer offered. - The removable tray (referred to as a 'dual level tray') in the center console has been deleted.- The Paddle/Manual shift for the CVT transmission is no longer longer available regardless of trim or option packacge.

One of our members bbiedny just took delivery of a 2010 Rogue SL with Premium, Leather and moonroof packages... basically a loaded model. It does not have paddle shifters. I have to confirm if he has AWD.

According to Nissan spec sheets available online, the paddle/manual shift was deleted from 2009 FWD models. In the 2010 specs, the paddle/manual shift is not even mentioned.

Sound weirds because on the 2009 model, you can tow 1500 pounds with the paddle shift (and brake on the trailer).

If not, that mean 1000 pounds!!! it is totally ridiculous!!!

Update:

The Nissan Canada website shows the same specs as '09, but has the '2010' heading:

http://nissan.ca/vehicles/comm...ue/en/

I will wait for the official 'Canadian' spec sheet (pdf format) to be released before updating this thread. It tends to be more accurate than the website link I posted above.

Also,

The paddle/manual shift was available on all 2009 Rogue Premium Pack models in Canada. The Nissan Canada website seems to indicate the paddle shifters are still available on 2010 Rogue Premium Pack models in Canada (but not the US). I will have to confirm this.

So far we have only confirmed this for US FWD models. I would like to hear from 2010 AWD owners (US models) to see if this is accurate.

The CDN model specs were released on http://www.nissan.ca and they appear almost identical to the 2009 model. Paddle shifters are still shown as part of the Premium Pack. I will have to confirm this as we have found a few errors on the US website... the CDN website may not be 100% accurate either.

Rechecked the 2010 Rogue Specs:

The paddle shifters have definitely been deleted from all Rogue models/trims in the USA

In Canada, the 2010 Rogue specs list the paddle shifters as being available on SL Premium Pack models (FWD and AWD)

The package 360 is only available for USA.

When we took a look of the canadian version, no more "Technology group", is all inclued in the Leather package, but more expensive.

Also, the homelink for garage door is available and nothing about reserve camera...

Weird...

In fact, except chrome handle, it is a 2009.

It's basically a body kit... front and rear bumper, grille, muffler with center tailpipes, and wheels.

You could easily purchase the parts in the US and have them installed on your Rogue. I'm sure it's all bolt-on parts and will fit with no issues.

Update:

Nissan Canada has released the specs for the 2010 Rogue.

Notable Changes:- Chrome outside door handles standard on all trims- Leather Package is now combined with the Technology Package and includes Intelligent Key System, Bluetooth® Phone Capability and XM™ Satellite Radio.

Quote »2010 Nissan Rogue Press Kit2010 Nissan Rogue Overview

After being named the 2008 AJAC Car-of-the-Year in the SUV/CUV Under $35,000 category, the Nissan Rogue continued to impress in 2009 in the small crossover utility segment. For 2010, Rogue returns as the same great value with a little more flair and easier access to technology options. Changes include new chrome outside door handles standard on all Rogues and more technology added to the Leather Package, including Intelligent Key System, Bluetooth® Phone Capability and XM™ Satellite Radio. Rogue will satisfy both the functional and emotional needs of the buyer with its aggressive, performance-oriented styling, powerful engine, responsive handling and driver-focused cockpit. Combined with its thoughtful everyday utility, Rogue creates a vehicle that shifts the way buyers, especially younger buyers, think about small crossovers.

“With Rogue, we’ve targeted drivers in their early 30s, whose responsibilities and functional needs have changed but who don’t want to leave behind the person they’ve always been – someone who enjoys driving, who values style and design, and who wants to retain his or her individuality,” said Ian Forsyth, Director, Corporate and Product Planning, Nissan Canada Inc. ”The Rogue name was chosen to reflect its independence-oriented positioning, though we certainly believe that all buyers, regardless of age or life stage, will positively respond to Rogue’s fun-to-drive, all-climate performance and aggressive styling.”

The 2010 Nissan Rogue will be available in two models, Rogue S and Rogue SL, each with a standard 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine, Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT™ (Continuously Variable Transmission), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), Traction Control System (TCS) and 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

An all-wheel drive system is available on both S and SL models. Rogue also offers a long list of standard safety features including front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags and roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags.

“Rogue brings a new level of style and ‘on-road’ performance to the hot Small Crossover market”, said Forsyth. “It was designed to stand out…to be an over-achiever. This applies not only to the vehicle’s appearance and dynamics but also to its utility, its attention to quality and detail and of course its value. Rogue is the complete package.”

Aggressive Design and AttitudeRogue’s exterior is designed to present an image of modern sophistication – both aggressive and sporty. Its sleek, bold styling includes dynamically arched forms and powerful rear shoulder lines.

“Though people buy small crossover SUVs for their utility, the designers of Rogue sought to create a vehicle that makes you first consider its power, style and sophistication, with its functionality a little more stealthy – like a high-end designer brief case or bag,” said Forsyth. “All the necessary compartments and storage spaces are there, they just don’t scream ‘utility’ at you.”

Rogue features an available power sliding glass moonroof with dark tinted glass, and an available roof rails with detachable cross bars (accessory).

Rogue is built on Nissan’s “C” platform, which provides high body stiffness with extensive use of high-strength steel utilized to reduce body weight. Rogue features a 105.9-inch (2,690 mm) wheelbase and 182.9-inch (4,645 mm) overall length – among the longest in class, compared with leading small crossover competitors – providing ample rear seat proportions and one of the longest interior lengths. The body also features large front door openings for easy ingress and egress.

A Driver-Oriented, Ultra-Functional InteriorLike its exterior, Rogue’s interior is designed to stand out in class with its sophisticated integration of a cockpit-like driver’s space and exceptional utility. The driver’s seat position offers excellent visibility, enhanced by an available seat lifter with up to two inches of seat height adjustability. Rogue’s instrument panel layout and steering wheel are designed for easy readability and operation while also providing a sporty look and feel, with reddish-orange illumination and silver gauge surround rings.

An available trip computer includes displays for distance-to-empty, average fuel consumption, average speed, elapsed time and outside temperature. Steering wheel-mounted controls are available for audio and Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System. Cruise control with steering wheel controls are standard on all Rogue models.

Leather-appointed seating surfaces and heated front seats (cloth and leather) are also available. An available fold-flat front passenger seat allows over 8.5 feet of front-to-rear cargo space for carrying long items such as wood or ladders. A rear 60/40 split-fold bench seat and oversize glove box with partition that measures over half a cubic foot in volume are standard. Also available is a highly versatile, dual-level centre console storage with hidden functionality features.

Rogue’s roomy cargo area has a number of available utility features, including a unique cargo organizer. When needed, the organizer pops up – with a one touch open switch – from its hidden space below the flat cargo floor. A portion of the cargo floor snaps into a vertical position, revealing a flat recessed space with removable, vertical cargo nets. The system helps prevent items such as sports equipment, windshield washer fluid bottles and grocery bags from rolling loose around the cargo area while driving. Also available is a rear tonneau cover to keep luggage and other items out of sight.

Rogue’s everyday utility features also include a variety of cupholders, memo/pen holder, coin holder and cell phone/sunglass holders.

“Rogue’s innovative storage solutions are designed to accommodate the active daily lives of its owners,” said Forsyth. “Just because a vehicle is smaller on the outside doesn’t mean you have to compromise storage or utility space – all it takes is innovation and creative thinking.”

Among the advanced technology features available on the 2010 Rogue are a Nissan Intelligent Key® and a powerful Bose®-developed audio system with 7 speakers and subwoofer with MP3 capability and XM™ satellite radio. Also available is a Bluetooth® Hands-Free Phone System and HomeLink® Universal Transceiver garage door opener.

Engaging PerformanceWhile maintaining its functionality as a family vehicle, Rogue’s creators also recognized the target buyers’ desires for a higher level of acceleration, handling and fun-to-drive attributes than offered by traditional small crossover SUVs. Rogue delivers on this promise with an advanced drivetrain anchored by its powerful 2.5-litre engine, 4-wheel independent suspension and refined all-wheel drive system.

“We picture the typical Rogue driver, after they drop the kids off at school, lowering the windows, turning up the Bose® audio and thinking about escaping to the wild – their briefcase and gear tucked securely in the back – before turning back towards the office,” said Forsyth. “Rogue not only makes such a scenario possible, but encourages such adventures.”

Rogue’s standard QR25DE 2.5-litre DOHC 16-valve inline 4-cylinder is rated at 170 horsepower and 175 lb-ft torque, tuned to provide ample torque in the low-to-mid rpm range for smooth, powerful acceleration and quick initial response from a standing start.

The engine features an aluminum block, reduced piston and piston ring friction and increased thermal efficiency (over the previous generation 2.5-litre engine design), 9.6:1 compression ratio, and large diameter intake port and exhaust manifold.

Despite its impressive performance credentials, the 2010 Rogue is extremely fuel efficient. FWD Rogue models get an impressive 9.2L /100 km (31 MPG) in the City and a fuel sipping 7.3 L /100 km (39 MPG) on the highway. The popular AWD Rogue models achieve 9.6 L /100 km (29 MPG) in the City and 7.8 L /100 km (36 MPG) on the Highway. With FWD & AWD Combined Fuel Economy ratings of 8.3 L/100 km and 8.8L/100 km, respectively. For residents in Ontario, both Rogue FWD and AWD units are also exempt from the provincial “gas guzzler” charge that is applicable to all SUVs with a Highway fuel consumption of 8.0L /100 km or more.

Every Rogue comes with a standard Nissan Xtronic CVT™, combining smooth, linear and responsive acceleration with high-efficiency operation. Rogue’s CVT utilizes adaptive logic control and a high-speed central processing unit. Its advanced shift control offers the optimal shift pattern according to the driving situation and driver’s demands, using input from driver operation, vehicle speed, road gradient, turning condition and acceleration force to adjust shifting patterns accordingly. Available paddle shifters provide an added level of sporty performance and driver control.

Rogue is available with front-wheel drive or an advanced intuitive all-wheel drive system with yaw moment control. The system provides stable starts on dry or slippery roads and excellent all-weather performance and traction. Every Rogue also features standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS).

Rogue’s standard 4-wheel independent suspension provides a balance of ride comfort and driving stability. The front suspension includes subframe-mounted independent struts with coil springs, high-performance shock absorbers with rebound springs and a stabilizer bar.

The rear independent multi-link suspension includes aluminum-alloy upper links and high-performance shock absorbers with rebound springs. The rear suspension design provides maximum luggage space (versus a rear strut design), as well as driving stability.

Responsive steering is provided by an electric power-assisted steering (EPS) system. Every Rogue also comes equipped with standard power-assisted front and rear vented disc brakes with standard Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). “S” Rogue models come with 16-inch steel wheels and 215/70R16 tires, while 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels with 225/60R17 tires are standard on the SL trim.

Standard safety features for the new Rogue include Zone Body Construction, Advanced Air Bag System (AABS) with dual stage front air bags and occupant classification system for the front passenger seat, and front seat Active Head Restraints. Front seat-mounted side-impact supplemental air bags and roof-mounted curtain supplemental air bags (for front and rear outboard occupant head protection) with rollover sensor are also standard.

An Affordable Sporty CrossoverThe 2010 Rogue is priced starting at $ 24,698 on sale as of September 2009.

“We believe people will be attracted to Rogue because of its distinctive style, roominess and ultra-functionality, then be greatly surprised by its unexpected performance and outstanding value,” said Forsyth. “Like all of our Nissan SUVs, including Armada, Pathfinder, Xterra and Murano, the Rogue is ready for anything life offers.”[/quote]Source: http://www.news-nouvelles.niss...id=25

Update:

Paddle shifters are still listed as part of the Premium Package on the Canadian web site for the 2010 Rogue SL models. S Models have ZERO options packages.

The US Rogue does NOT offer paddle shifters at all. Instead, they've substitued Intelligent Key into the Premium Package.

This is a pretty major difference, I wonder why Nissan feels Canadians appreciate paddle shifters more than our American friends? Also, why can't Canadians get Intelligent Key unless we purchase an AWD model with Leather package? I have no answers to these questions!

Also, the 360 package which contains the rearview backup camera is not available in Canada for any model. So if you want paddle shifters come to Canada, if you want backup camera go to the States - this blows my mind!

Is it possible that they are just re-badging excess inventory 2009 Rogues into 2010 Rogues in Canada (smaller market) by just replacing the door handles with chrome, while the actual new model 2010 is the one in the US ?

Not likely. The mfg. date/year is part of the VIN number applied at the factory. Tampering with this is illegal.
