2010 Infiniti EX35 AC Seats?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Good Morning. Is anyone aware of an aftermarket option for air conditioned seats for the EX35? Thanks in advance!

I'm very curious about how you would plumb in the AC without destroying the central console. As for aftermarket, check the junkyards. My '09 FX37 had heated/AC factory seats, you may find a pair of seats in decent condition.

Nissan-Infinti climate seats aren't plumbed outside the seat, they use a Peltier plate beneath the seat that produces hot or cold depending on the direction of the electric current. A fan with ducts is used to direct the flow into the seat cushions. Wiring the 7-way knobs for controlling it will be an issue, but not the plumbing. Any seat with climate control will have all the necessary plumbing already in the seat.

Thanks for the info Vstar, it's brilliant and explains a lot. My 2014 QX50 has heated seats only, do you think I could add cooling by modifying the knobs (junkyards may have intact consoles/controls from older models)?

No, the heat-only seats use traditional electric elements embedded in the pads or glued to the cushions. Completely different system.
