200SX SE-R keeps dying HELP......

ok so heres whats going on....i bought this 96 200sx and it was running fine and everything for almost a year i put a system in it and it still ran fine untill a month or so ago it starting dying so i figured it was the alternator so i took it to a shop and they told me the the alt was fine and it was the battery. so i got a new battery and its still dying so i brought it back and they told me that the alt was working fine i was just pulling to much from the battery for it to recharge. so the only thing i use now are the lights and its still dying.....any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Well, I like to say: Welcome to NicoClub Everyone here is nice and cool. I think IMO... I would take the alternator off and get it tested. Is your amp always on all of the time? Also it seems to me that the problems that you are having is when you put in your stereo system in your Nissan. When I had a Big stereo system in my car I had to get a bigger battery and a bigger alternator then down the road get a another battery in the trunk to run the amps then had to replace the batterys like 1-2 times a year B/C they would run out of juice.
